After racketing it off in the Antarctica, the two siblings and International Tennis legends John and Patrick McEnroe are focusing to try the same feat in yet another unlikely place, the Serengeti plains of Tanzania.
The duo are expected to play the first ever tennis match in the Serengeti National Park on December 4, 2023 in the so called ‘Tanzania Epic Tour!’
Patrick McEnroe is the current President of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
His older brother John Patrick McEnroe happens to be the only male player in tennis history to hold the world Number 1 ranking in both singles and doubles simultaneously.
Simply known as ‘Epic Tanzania,’ the two MacEnroe brothers will headline the world’s first Serengeti Safari and Tennis Match to Africa.

The main tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience featuring a historic tennis match in the Serengeti, exhilarating excursions, premier sightseeing, luxury lodging, and more
The Delegation is expected to fly into Tanzania on the first day of December 2023.
The following day, the planed itinerary takes participants to play a curtain-raiser tennis game at the Kilimanjaro Golf and Wildlife Estate (Kili Golf) sandwiched between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.
Then they will fly to Seronera airstrip in the Serengeti National Park where the delegates are to stay at the Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge.
Later, a scenic safari game drive in Tanzania’s third largest National Park will follow.
There will be a full day of enjoyments including sight-seeing, spa and optional conservation activities at the Four Seasons Lodge, in Serengeti.
That include a guided 90-minute walk through the bush on the day before the big match.
The day will wind up with a sunset safari game drive followed by an authentic dining experience hosted by members of the indigenous Maasai community.
Even on the day of the big tennis match in Serengeti, the delegates will start with an early morning Game Drive on December 4, 2023.
The world will then witness the two legends; John and Patrick McEnroe do something that has never been done before, as they play the maiden tennis match in the heart of the Serengeti.
Afterwards the McEnroes will host a special dinner reception to commemorate their historic tennis match inside the world famous National Park.
On the following day the participants will take part in a Volley.
A volley or flight in tennis is a shot where the ball gets struck before it bounces on the ground.
It means that the player hits a volley while standing near the net, although it can be executed farther back, in the middle of the tennis court or even near the baseline.
The Volley will take place in the endless plains on December 5, 2023 shortly after the participants get to view the entire landscape from a hot air balloon flight.
The journey back to Arusha City will be done on safari vehicles so that the team may sample the adjacent wildlife-filled Ngorongoro Crater en-route, in addition to mingling with the Maasai who reside in the Conservation Area.
